Colchester Public Schools provide students with exemplary instruction.
Read about our teachers -- leaders in the state!

District curricula, based on the Connecticut Core Standards, set the standards for student learning  and define the skills, knowledge and understandings we believe all students need in order to become educated citizens.  Our students are highly successful and our partnerships build a strong community.

Our district's strategic plan reveals the emphasis  we place on authentic and engaging experiences for every learner.  Each year our teachers examine ways to help all students access the course content, and all teachers dedicate themselves to learning and growing in their profession.

Differentiation of instruction includes opportunities for advanced learning in Algebra I courses in middle school and Advanced Placement, UCONN credit, and Three Rivers partnership courses in high school. Many co-curricular activities serve to enhance students' learning experiences as they travel on their educational journey in Colchester.
