Adult Education

It is the goal of the Colchester Adult Education program to empower students with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed both personally and professionally in a technologically advanced society.

Our program is sponsored by Vernon Regional Based Adult Education and offers a variety of free opportunities for adults age 17 and over to obtain their diploma and enhance their education and career path. Questions concerning GED, High School Credit Diploma, English as a Second Language and other Free Adult Education Programs may be directed to Vernon Regional Based Adult Education at 866-564-2368, ext 139. You may also visit their website. The classes are free and are held at Bacon Academy on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Please call Vernon Adult Based Education to register for classes.

Colchester residents interested in non-credit, personal enrichment classes, may now use their Cragin Library card number to enroll online at UniversalClass.com  and take up to five classes at once. These courses do not provide college credit but do provide the opportunity to explore an interest, develop a skill or review content. If you have questions concerning these classes, please contact Cragin Library at 860-537-5752 or view their website at www.colchesterct.gov/library.
