THE COLCHESTER BOARD OF EDUCATION WELCOMES DANIEL P. SULLIVAN, III AS THE NEW SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
COLCHESTER – Thursday, December 1, 2022 – At a special meeting of the Colchester, CT Board of Education held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, the Board unanimously appointed Mr. Daniel P. Sullivan, III as Colchester’s new superintendent of schools.
Mr. Sullivan has served as superintendent of schools in Putnam, CT since 2019. He has served as principal of South Windsor High School from 2009 – 2019, and as a high school principal in New London, CT from 2006 – 2009. Mr. Sullivan served as an assistant principal at Middletown High School from 2001 – 2006.
Mr. Sullivan began his teaching career in 1993 and has taught English and social studies, in addition to coaching varsity basketball, baseball, and track.
He will begin his responsibilities as Colchester’s superintendent of schools on January 3, 2023. The Board of Education is both pleased and excited to welcome Mr. Sullivan to Colchester as the new superintendent of schools!
