Breakfast and Lunch Information

Food Security and Meals Schedule Update:

If you are 18 years old or younger, and live in Connecticut, you are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch from our school district. Starting July 1st, we will be providing meals for pick-up at Bacon Academy on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30AM to 10:30AM. Details and safety protocol used in the meals program are included on the district website, CPS Coronavirus webpage

Grades K-8 Hot Lunch $3.00
Grades K-8 Breakfast  $1.80

Milk $.65 for all grade levels
Ice cream $1.00 for all grades

5/9/19: Discontinuation of the Summer Meals on the Move Program

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) informed us today that the Summer Meals on the Move Program is being discontinued. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA), Food and Nutrition Services has not reissued the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer for Children (Summer Meals on the Move) demonstration program to Connecticut for the summer of 2019.

If you have any questions regarding the discontinuation of the Summer Meals on the Move demonstration program, please refer inquires to Susan Gwiazda, SNAP Consultant at or 860-424-4992.  All children in our district can receive nutritious meals at no cost this summer at Summer Food Service Program locations.  More information regarding the Summer Food Service Program site locations and schedules will be provided in June 2019.
