INTERSCHOLASTIC AND INTRAMURAL SPORTS REGISTRATION:
Dear Athletes and Families:
We are excited to announce our NEW online Athletic registration located in the E-Collect forms in your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Follow these steps:
1. On the left side navigation column click on the "Ecollect Forms" tab.
2. Look for the WJJMS Athletics Form and begin!
3. Click on WJJMS Athletics 2019-20 and scroll down to choose a fall sport and fill in the form to complete. Note: Remember to "Save" and "Submit."
4. Remember to "Save" your information as you go. This is important if you need to step away and complete your registration at a later time.
5. No payment is needed at the time of registration. The Fall Pay-to-Play collection will be announced and published.
The secure registration platform provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR SCHOOL ATHLETICS
PHYSICAL EXAMS: A physical exam must be current within the past 13 months and signed by the physician. If the student’s physical expires during the season, they will not be able to play until a new physical exam is received. State of Connecticut Dept of Ed Health Assessment Record (the "Blue Form")

THREE SEASONS OF SPORTS PROGRAMS
At WJJMS, we offer three seasons of sports programs, Fall, Winter and Spring. Attendance for all try-out dates for interscholastic sports is mandatory.
Pay to Play (participation fee) information:
There is a pay to play fee of $180.00 for all athletes that are placed on the Interscholastic Sports teams. Please do not send in payment until you are notified to do so via a Pay to Play (participation fee) form that will be issued to your student athlete by the coach. The Pay-to-Play form is handed to the student once he/she is placed on any WJJMS Interscholastic sports team to be signed by a parent/guardian and should be returned to the office by a specified date noted on the form, determined by the Athletic Director along with the payment. All parents/guardians are required to pay a $180.00 fee for students to participate in any Interscholastic sports team with a maximum of $540.00 per family per school year.
In the fall, we have an Interscholastic Soccer athletic program. Interscholastic Soccer begins in September and will run through the end of October. Interscholastic Soccer is a program that gives students the opportunity to play soccer after school against other school teams. A current State of CT Dept of Ed Health Assessment Record (the "Blue Form") must be on file with the school nurse, dated within the last 13 months. Checks are made payable to "Town of Colchester" once the Pay to Play letters (participation fee forms) are handed out to the athletes. Registration is done online see above.
In the winter, we run an Interscholastic Basketball athletic program. Checks are made payable to "Town of Colchester" once the Pay to Play letters (participation fee forms) are handed out to the athletes. A current State of CT Dept of Ed Health Assessment Record (the "Blue Form") must be on file with the school nurse, dated within the last 13 months.
Intramural Basketball after school (play against classmates) begins usually in February and ends in March. A fee of $40.00 is due to WJJMS prior to participation. Checks should be made out to WJJMS Athletics. Please note that students do not need a physical to play Intramural Basketball.

In the spring, generally beginning mid-March, we run our Interscholastic Track & Field athletic program. Checks are made payable to "Town of Colchester" once the Pay to Play letters (participation fee forms) are handed out to the athletes and sent into our office. This year, Track is set to begin on March 18, weather permitting. A current State of CT Dept of Ed Health Assessment Record (the "Blue Form") must be on file with the school nurse, dated within the last 13 months.
Club Cross Country - AN AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Club Cross Country, an after school club, begins in September and ends in November. Club Cross Country sign-ups are done via a "packet." The CCC Packets are available in the Digital Backpack on in our WJ office. The Club Cross Country Meet dates are found on our Powerschool Bulletin, the WJJMS Calendar and in the Digital Backpack. Schedules and pertinent information is also handed out to the club members. There is a $180.00 fee for Club Cross Country participants. Parents with multiple children in the program will pay $120 for each additional child.
Please know that the schedules are subject to change due to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances. If you have any questions, please follow the information that was given to your child at their most recent practice or call our office at 860.537.2313 and we will be happy to assist you. Upon an unexpected cancellation, students are notified prior to 1:15 pm. to inform their parents/guardians via the office telephone.
