Introducing a magnet school focused on public service
Hayward Academy for Public Service (HAPS) is located on the campus of Bacon Academy in Colchester, Connecticut, conveniently located right off Route 2.
Our “school within a school” model offers pathways for students to prepare for careers in public service such as:
Fire
Medical
Criminal Justice/Forensics
Education
Hayward Academy for Public Service students will have full opportunities to participate in all activities, sports, and extracurricular programs available to all Bacon Academy students.
Dual enrollment opportunities through the University of New Haven provide the potential for 12 or more college credits for students.
Prospective scholars can start their applications at chooseyourschool.org beginning on December 3, 2024. Offers will be made in the spring of 2025.
