TEAM: Teacher Education and Mentoring

For Beginning Teachers

All educators who possess an initial certification must complete two or five the TEAM Program modules depending on their endorsement code (see table below). These educators are referred to as Beginning Teachers (BTs), and will be provided an overview of the TEAM the program by the District upon hire. BTs can view the District's TEAM Plan or the CSDE's Teacher Education And Mentor website for additional information. BTs must sign-up for a CTTEAM Dashboard account after meeting with their Mentor.

Resources to consider for new teachers who are embarking on one of the five TEAM modules:

Sanford Inspire

The Inspire Online Learning Portal provides free professional development modules and resources to help teachers improve their practice and encourage Pre-K through 12th grade students to become enthusiastic, engaged learners.

For TEAM Mentors

Mentors can view the District's TEAM Plan or the CSDE's Teacher Education And Mentor website for information on mentoring. Mentors need to complete three Professional Learning Units (PLU) every three years to maintain their Mentor status. PLU modules can be accessed through the CTTEAM Dashboard.
